On the 12th of September we will be having our end of 3rd. term promotion
Examinations for both Adults and Children, at Yorkey’s Knob Dojo. All application forms must be into your dojo Instructor with the appropriate fee by September 5th.
Examinations commence at 2.00pm and this will be followed by fellowship, a Pot Luck ( BYO to share ) dinner at the dojo or the beach depending on the weather.
Please arrive in time to promptly take to the mat at 14:00

Aikido Cairns was lucky enough to be part of the great Community Day organised by Bunnings yesterday. Not only did this give us a wonderful opportunity to meet members of the Cairns community to discuss our great martial art and how it may benefit them. It also afforded us the chance to show off our good looks!

Dear All,
Just a quick reminder that due to Easter there will be no training in Cairns this coming Saturday and Monday.
Classes will recommence in Yorkey’s Knob on Wednesday 23rd.
You are welcome to attend our Tuesday class in Mossman if you can’t stand the thought of not being on the mat for that long!
And we might take this opportunity to remind you that the early bird discount for the National Seminar is approaching – so get your registration form in to save 10%..!
Easter Break

The Ki Aikido NQ Society will be having a stall at the forthcoming mind and body festival at Palm Cove. This will be a fantastic opportunity for us to meet with people who are like minded and who may wish to explore what aikido can do for them.
At around 12:15 we will be giving a demonstration on the main stage to showcase what Ki Aikido is all about!
If you are interested in discussing that the club does face to face, be sure to find us and say hello. We will also be donating a voucher for one month’s free training to the Random Act of Kindness bag that will be awarded to one lucky winner!
The festival will also feature art, musical performances and lots of natural remedies and therapies – so if that sounds like your cup of tea, Palm Cove is the place to be this coming Sunday (22nd September 2013).

Grading and Annual General Meeting. Being held on Saturday 14th of September at the Yorkey’s Knob Dojo in Wattle Street. Come along for an insight, to grade or to attend the AGM!
Following the gradings, the AGM will commence with all committee positions being vacated and nominations for candidates being accepted.
Following the AGM, food and drink will be consumed! So bring a plate and meet your potential and existing fellow aikidoists.
